Moving out soon
So, a couple of days ago, my mom told my sister and I that we need to move out by April. She and her boyfriend won a cruise from the newspaper contest, and they're going on March 30, so they decided that the best thing ever would be for them to get married the day before and use the cruise as their honeymoon. Since he is going to be moving into our house after they get back from cruising, mom has decided that there is no room for Kati and I to stay in the house. Since we are both still in college and not making tons of money, we decided that we will be rooming together for at least the first year. We are now getting busy apartment hunting and putting together all the miscellaneous crap you need when you first move out - trash cans, mop and broom, dish drainer, ect. Both of us are looking forward to not living at home any more, but we wish we had a little more notice and money saved up. Oh well. At least mom gave us a few months' notice and wasn't all like "move out by next month". Anyone know of any good apartments near here?

t exactly but when I had been apartment-shopping John took me to the one good resource in U-City that's run by Washington U students that tends to have pretty good suggestions. It generally costs $5 to do it but John found his apartment there and it was right off the Loop and it wasn't all that bad price-wise. Just a thought. Besides that I would suggest going through the post rather than one of those rental mags as they seem to have a bunch of really expensive ones.

I want to stay in South County.
Those 'rental mags' actually list some decently priced apartments, including the one Laura is living in right now, as well as more expensive ones. Thanks though.
