Busyness

Well, Von got married this past Saturday. Yay! Although the day started out a little rocky (late people, long bagel lines, aggravation, make-up retouching) it ended very well. The ceremony was beautiful, as well as beautifully short (damn heels) and between the wedding and reception we celebrated with chickenburgers. The reception was lovely, and once I changed out of my bridesmaid dress, heels, and corset, I actually danced! Go me! Go bendyness! Corsets are hell. Looked good though.

Faces on Fourth Street

That's where we went for Von's batchelorette party last night, and it was awesome!! We met up at Von's, had some watermelon and green apple Smirnoff (yum), and headed out after a brief stop at Sonic. As some of the first people there, we had the dance floor, including the cages, all to ourselves, and we danced about mostly looking goofy until more people arrived. The floor show started soon after, and we got to see the drag queens perform. Very cool. About halfway through, one of them decided it was time for a "sociable" and called out for a reason. Any birthdays? Anniversaries? Someone get knocked up? We hollered with all our might and got Von out there. The drag queen had her put a condom on the mike with her mouth, and was like, "Is that your mom over there? Don't look, Mom, it's okay. She's still a virgin, it's okay". Ben filmed it with his camera, or got pictures. Something. I need to get it to post up here, so everyone can enjoy it. It was so much fun!!! I want to go again!

I got a raise!!

I went from $6.50 to $6.95 at my drugstore! Yay me!

I've been posting a lot recently...

And I likes it. But I am running out of things to post about. *sigh* My life is just not blog-worthy. All I do is work. I did dig out some old shoes I'd hardly ever worn, and now I have "new" shoes. Yay! See kids, recycling is fun. Ooh! Ooh! Guess what!

My boss broke her nose.

I think it's hilarious, not because I dislike my boss (although I do, most of the time), but because of how she did it. She had gone to the dentist's office for a root canal, Novacain and all, and as she was WALKING TO HER CAR she tripped, fell, and BROKE HER NOSE. On WHAT?! I can't understand how you can fall and break your nose in a parking lot, but she managed it somehow. Apparently she was looking at traffic... As Steve put it, "She just skipped that whole 'holding out your arms thing', didn't she?" Not to mention she probably didn't even feel it. Damn Novacain. I can't wait to see what she looks like on Monday.

Let's see if Meeko will eat some broccoli!

My cat eats Pringles...

White Cheddar Pringles. Breka was like, "Here, have a Pringle" and he ate it! It was quite amusing. It's very impressive for a cat to eat half a Pringle. Now that I've forgotten what I was going to post about, let's talk about some random shit. *bing* Oh yeah...I remember now-

I love working at the drugstore. I especially love working in the makeup section. I love the discount, the people, the customers (for the most part), and I love all those coupons saved in the basket. :D Coupons make life good. Rebates too. I paid about fifteen bucks today for a crapload of stuff, and I'm getting more than fifteen bucks back in rebates. Coupons! Yay!
